Toddler dance classes are offered for students ages 2 to 3 years old.
Toddlers (Ages 2-3)
Welcome to ROOTS Academy’s toddler dance program!
Designed for ages 2-3, our classes offer a joyful introduction to dance.
Our “Parent & Me” sessions for 18-month-olds create bonding moments, while our toddler dance classes for 2-3-year-olds provide a variety of classes, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and tumbling. Students in our “Parent & Me” class do not need to be potty trained, but students enrolled in toddler classes must be potty trained.
Each class is crafted to develop your child’s love for music and movement in a nurturing environment.

Ages 2-3 Class Schedule
Dress Code
GIRLS:
- Dancers should wear a leotard (any color). Skirts and tights are optional. NO costumes or dresses.
- Pink Leather ballet shoes are required for all toddler classes.
BOYS:
- A white or black shirt with black shorts or pants is required.
- Black ballet or slip-on jazz shoes are required for all toddler classes.
Recital Participation
Toddler students will participate in 2 in studio showcases during the season: Winter and Spring. Family and friends are invited to our final class in December and May where dancers will perform a short presentation of what they’ve been working on, followed by snacks and treats.
Students will be provided with costume pieces and accessories to wear for the showcases.

Come try a sample class at ROOTS Dance! We invite new students to join us for a tour of our studio, meet our staff and mentors, and ensure a smooth transition for your child during the class. It’s going to be a fun experience, we promise!
Our sample classes are $10 and lasts 30 minutes and provides a taste of what our regular dance season is like. You can watch your child participate in the class through our viewing windows.
Bonus!
Enroll within 48 hours after your trial class and the $10 fee will be applied to your $50 registration fee.

A $50 registration fee is due at enrollment for each dance season.
