Which camps would be most suitable for my child who is new to dance?2024-01-03T21:35:22-06:00

The selection of an appropriate camp for your child primarily depends on their age. We offer a range of camps designed to cater to students between the ages of 4 to 18 years. Each camp is tailored to be age-appropriate and engaging, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for beginners in dance. Additionally, we recommend clicking on this link to search for dance camps based on your child’s age, style interests, or goals. This tool will help you find the most suitable camp options for your child’s specific needs and preferences.

What is the appropriate attire for my child to wear to a dance camp?2024-01-03T21:28:48-06:00

The dress code for each specific dance camp is outlined in its respective camp description. However, as a general guideline, we recommend fitted dance attire. This includes leggings, tank tops, dance shorts, and leotards. For hip hop camps, students may wear layers such as joggers, sweatpants, T-shirts, and hoodies.

Regarding footwear, tennis shoes are necessary for hip hop. Ballet camps require ballet shoes, which should be canvas or leather, depending on the age group. For jazz and lyrical camps, we recommend pirouettes or jazz shoes, and for contemporary dance, dance socks are acceptable.

In terms of hair, it should be secured up and away from the face to minimize distractions during the dance sessions.
