Registration Fees

A $50 registration fee is due at enrollment for each dance season. Registration fees are non-refundable.

Tuition Structure & Policies

• Tuition is charged per student and calculated by total classes taken in one week
• We offer a 10% sibling discount
• Tuition is determined based on the total number of classes in the year (August-May) and is broken into 10 even installments
• First tuition payment is due between August 10-15th, depending on the season start date, and will be prorated
• Tuition is due at time of registration if registering after the start of the season, approximately August 10-15th (varies by year)
• Tuition is charged regardless of student absence
• Missed classes are non-refundable
• Tuition is NOT prorated for absences, inclement weather days, holidays, or Recital Picture Week
• Tuition will be prorated for students that enroll after classes have begun

Payment Methods & Late Fees

• Payment accepted via credit card, debit card, or personal check
• Credit card must be kept on file, and payment by credit card is encouraged
• Checks should be made out to ROOTS Academy
• Late fee of $15 will be charged after 5 days past due
• Late notices will be sent via email
• Payments 20 days past due will result in lesson suspension
• Payments 30 days past due will result in lesson termination and time slot release

Make-Up Class Policies

• Available September through January for Toddler, Preschool, Peewee, and Mini level classes
• Must be scheduled within one month of missed class
• Students may make up classes during another class time at their same level or below, subject to capacity
• Email dance@rootsacademy.com to schedule make-up classes
• No make-ups offered after January due to recital preparation
• Make-ups are not offered for inclement weather days, holidays, or Recital Picture Week

Withdrawal Policy

Enrollment at ROOTS Academy is for the entire season, but we understand that extenuating circumstances may necessitate withdrawal.

• Withdrawal requires notice before next billing date (by the 20th of the month)
• Submit requests using the Dance Withdrawal Form
• Requests submitted by the 20th will incur no additional charges for the following month
• Students remain on schedule through remainder of billing cycle
• Withdrawals effective from first day of following month
• Cannot be processed retroactively
• Recital fees paid before withdrawal are non-refundable and non-transferable

Studio Closures

• The studio observes major holidays
• Weather-related closures will be announced via email and app
  • Note: We do not follow public school closure decisions
• No make-up classes offered for weather closures
