March 2023 Student & Mentor Features
MUSIC STUDENT OF THE MONTH
STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Drew Windham | Guitar
“Drew has been a dedicated, hard-working student for years, but he has taken things to the next level recently in lessons, learning new songs for his ROOTS OnStage Band, and working on a very difficult song for his school’s talent show. I’m blown away by his hard work and am so proud of him!” – Dave Mohr, Mentor
FEATURED MUSIC MENTOR
Hannah Koshgarian | Cello
Hannah has been a music mentor at ROOTS for over 5 years now! You may have even seen her performing with the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra. Her teaching philosophy focuses on creating a unique plan for each student. Embracing their individuality and artistic expression, she helps students reach their goals in their own way.
FEATURED DANCE CLASS
Teen/Senior Lyrical/Contemporary II with Kelsey Southerland
This class is a combination of both Lyrical and Contemporary styles in which the dancers work on combinations that include floorwork and technical elements. Ms. Kelsey is a very inspiring mentor to her students and trains her dancers on how to tell a story through music and their movement.
FEATURED DANCE MENTOR
Kylie Koeppen
Kylie Koeppen started as a competitive gymnast before making the switch to pursue her love of dance. She’s trained with Purdue University’s contemporary company, MDC Nashville and with FreshTalent Group. We love the passion and adventurous spirit she adds to the classes she teaches!
