With over a decade of experience as a professional performer, he has captivated audiences across the country—from Nashville’s Broadway to national entertainment venues and cruise lines. His background includes solo acoustic performances, full band collaborations, and interactive shows emphasizing storytelling and musical connection.

Keifer is also a committed mentor who thrives on helping students find their unique voice. His teaching philosophy blends traditional technique with real-world experience, inspiring students to master their instruments and connect emotionally with their music.

Beyond the stage and classroom, Keifer is an experienced audio engineer and producer, having worked with renowned music festivals and operated his own recording studio. His passion for music extends into every facet of his career, and he is dedicated to fostering a supportive, inspiring learning environment.

“My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive and inspiring environment where students can develop both technical skill and creative expression. I believe that music is not just about mastering an instrument—it’s about finding your unique voice and connecting emotionally with the music you create. My approach is tailored to each student’s individual goals, blending foundational techniques with real-world performance insights to build confidence, stage presence, and musical versatility. Whether guiding a beginner through their first chords or helping an advanced student refine their artistry, my goal is to empower musicians with the skills and passion they need to grow, explore, and express themselves authentically”

What’s been the highlight of your professional career?
One of the most unforgettable moments of my career was returning to my hometown on tour and performing to a packed, standing-room-only venue. Seeing the overwhelming support from my community, friends, and family was incredibly humbling and rewarding. It was a full-circle moment—playing for the people who had supported my musical journey from the start and witnessing how my career had grown since leaving home. That night reaffirmed my passion for music and the power it has to bring people together in a shared, unforgettable experience.

What type of student will excel best with you as his/her mentor?:

Students who thrive under my mentorship are those who are passionate, curious, and eager to grow as musicians. Whether they are beginners or advanced players, the students who excel with me are open to exploring their creativity, pushing their boundaries, and embracing both technical skill and personal expression.

I work best with students who are willing to put in the effort, take risks, and develop their own unique musical voice. My approach is supportive and adaptable, making it a great fit for students who value a mix of structured learning and hands-on, real-world performance insights

What does being a “Mentor” mean to you and why are you excited to step into this role?:

To me, being a mentor is about more than teaching music—it’s about inspiring and guiding students to find their unique voice and confidence as musicians. A mentor provides not just technical instruction but also real-world insight, encouragement, and a sense of community.

I’m excited for this role because music has profoundly shaped my life, and I want to help others experience that same growth and passion. Watching students develop their skills and artistic identity is incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to supporting them on their journey

What type of music did you grow up listening to? How did it influence your artistry?:

I grew up listening to a wide variety of music, from The Beatles and Billy Joel to Linkin Park, Green Day, Jimmy Buffett, and musical theater. This diverse mix shaped my artistry by giving me an appreciation for strong melodies, storytelling, and dynamic performances. The Beatles and Billy Joel influenced my songwriting, teaching me the power of lyricism and melody. Green Day and Linkin Park introduced me to high energy performance and emotional intensity, while Jimmy Buffett and musical theater helped me understand the importance of connecting with an audience. This eclectic foundation has allowed me to be a versatile musician, blending different styles and approaches in both my performances and teaching.
