Here at ROOTS, we offer Violin lessons starting at 6 years old (or younger with teacher approval) through adults. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics or a seasoned violinist looking to further develop your craft or prepare for an audition or performance, we have the mentor for you!

Our experienced and entrusted violin mentors use a variety of teaching methods to help students reach their full potential and excel in violin technique and performance training. By combining styles and tailoring each lesson to each student, we provide a comprehensive understanding of technique and artistry.

No worries! If you need to change your make-up lesson registration, email our admin team at music@rootsacademy.com and let us know at least 24 hours in advance. We will be happy to help you!

Music Showcases are put on bi-annually in May and December.

Yes, there is a performance fee of $40 per student to participate in the showcase.

Make sure your calendar view is set to “Everything” when looking for available make-up lesson times.

Yes! All students are invited to participate in the showcase, no matter how long they have been taking lessons. Their mentor will work with them on a piece suitable for their level, and they will gain valuable performance experience right from the start.

How do I stop my music lessons?2019-06-10T16:32:11-05:00

We offer hassle-free withdrawals or holds. The only requirement is to notify the office before the start of your next billing cycle. Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing using this form. Withdrawals will be processed within three business days.

How do I know if I have a make-up credit?2019-08-02T17:10:37-05:00

All students are issued up to 1 make-up credit per month upon valid cancellation with our admin team. You can view your available make-up credits on the dashboard of your ROOTS Music Portal under the “Make-Up Credits” widget.

Can I put my music lessons on hold for the summer, sports, etc.?2019-06-10T16:37:10-05:00

Absolutely! We offer a temporary hold for music lessons that allows students to keep their mentor, lesson day/time, and current tuition rate for a discounted rate each month. You can read up more on Lesson Holds here.

The current music lesson rates are $149 per month for 30-minute lessons, $224 for 45-minute lessons per week, or $298 for 60-minute lessons per week.

If I miss a music lesson, do I get a make-up?2019-08-02T17:21:54-05:00

Absolutely! Students are offered 1 make-up credit per lesson type per month for cancellations made at least an hour in advance of the scheduled lesson. Click here for instructions on how to schedule a make-up lesson
